The daily routine....

Everyone has their different routines when it comes to beauty; some of us take time out to give our faces a good scrub that old mantra "Cleanse, tone and moisturise." I can hold my hands up and say sometimes I do get lazy and I will go to sleep in my make up, BIG NO NO!! I can hear all you #bbloggers gasping. However, I am starting to turn a corner and I am trying to look after my skin AND I am also looking after my hair more, heat protecting spray is a godsend.

Also, I have listed the make up I use everyday, I think it is great to see other bloggers showing off their make up and hearing some great recommendations. I want to splurge out my next pay day on more BarryM and I want to try NARS.

Pink blusher by E.L.F Cosmetics

I had known about E.L.F for quite a while; I went to America to visit my friend and in their local drug shop, what do you know? they were selling E.L.F at an amazing price. I got this blusher for $2, it is a BIG shame they don't have a retailer yet, I am hoping one day they will. Until then though they are online so take a look here.

I use these products everyday; The blusher (you know) then I use Collection 2000 Colour Match Foundation. I am quite pale and I do find it hard to find foundation that matches my skin colour, you will be surprised how many times I have tried out the fairest foundations on my hand and they are orange. What is a pale girl meant to do? but I find Colour Match Foundation to work very well and it is very light on the face. I have had foundations before that feel very heavy and have caused me to break out.

Then there is my favourite mascara of all time; Maybelline Colossal Mascara Volum Express. This is a mascara I will swear by, whenever I hear "Volume maximising" I think clumpy. But, don't think that, this does go on thick but it makes your lashes look bold and vibrant. It lasts all day and holds the shape of your lashes plus, it comes off so easily and there are no 'Alice Cooper' moments, unless you get caught in the rain, this isn't a water proof mascara.

My mum has been using Olay for years and she loves this moisturiser Olay Essentials Double Action Day Cream. One of the most important things I have learnt from my mum is always look after your skin. She is a routined lady, she moisturises morning and night and really puts me to shame, her skin is very soft and it is all thanks to Olay.

There was a big debate on facial wipes; do they clean properly? well on the surface they do but I can understand why some bloggers choose not to use them. I always use Johnsons because they are soft to the skin, I have had wipes where they are scratchy and have actually left my skin red, not what I want in a wipe. These are good for me in the morning because they are quick and leave my face fresh, but I could use other products I just need to get up a bit earlier. *Ahem* easier said than done.

And finally....

Last but very not least the product that is saving my hair that little bit more everyday. My saviour LOreal Elnett Heat Protect Spray Straight. I cannot rave enough about this little gem; I straighten/ curl my hair everyday and you don't realise how much damage you are doing until you find the frizzy ends and they are not attractive. But spraying this over your hair everyday after washing will help, it doesn't leave my hair greasy instead it leaves it silky smooth and smelling amazing.

Like I said before, I am not a beauty boff and I can get lazy but that is what is good about the #bbloggers chat every Sunday at 8pm. I get so many recommendations and tips from the lovely ladies and gents that I already feel like I am learning a great deal about Beauty, if you haven't joined in the conversation already where have you been?!

  2. I enjoyed this post, nice to see what other women do on a daily basis. I use wipes (shush don't let other beauty bloggers know!)not every day, but whenever i can't be bothered cleaning my make up off, or I'm just tired etc. They seem to get everything off so I don't have any issues with them. I also religiously use a heat protecting spray on my hair, and i don't have split ends really.
