Hello Autumn..
Well hello everyone, it has been quite a while since my last blog post; frankly I have been quite a little busy bee and trying to get everything sorted in my life.
Well the biggest news is I got myself a job (yay!!) after a long and tedious search I was offered an interview by St Anne Line junior school and I was offered the job as the year 5 teaching assistant. I am over the moon and elated by getting this job because it isn't just a job for me, it is one step closer to obtaining my career as a teacher.
This week the GTTP opens so I can register myself for the September 2013 intake, I just hope I can keep my nerve and get myself mentally prepared.
The school is a lovely and friendly place, all the staff are wonderful people who offer plenty of support to myself and my class in particular are full of characters who I will not easily forget.
I have been at the school a month now and I can't believe I only have one week left before half term, it has gone unbelieveably quick. I love the fact I get to the weekend and I can't wait to get back into the classroom and see all the children.
Since my last blog post I turned 23, I had a wonderful birthday and got lots of lovely little bits from my family. But I have also had some not so great moments, my nan took a nasty fall to the face and broke her nose and had to have 6 stitches in her chin. Let's just say 7 hours in A + E is not where I wanted to be on a Friday night but she was ok and all came back well.
I put in my resignation yesterday, I am a waitess at a restaurant called Grand Central in Basildon. With all that is happening at the school I need to put my career first, so with a heavy heart I put in my letter. My last shift will be next Friday, 4 years I have been a waitress; so that part of my life will be coming to an end.
Other than that everything has been pretty standard really, I have been very fortunate to find myself in a place where I feel comfortable and where I am enjoying myself. I am also so excited that Autumn is here, take some time out to walk about and capture pictures of the changing leaves, it truly is wonderful.
