Dip dying with Crazy Color

One of the biggest trends I have seen happening these past couple of months has to be the dip dye extravaganza, from Nicki Minaj to Jessie J we have seen a number of colours being intergrated into our locks. Dip dye is a great way to show off your personality and stand out from the crowd, after having seen many celebrities following this trend I decided that I wanted to try it out for myself.

I have coloured my hair with various colours but I wanted to try and see whether I could dip dye myself without having to resort to the hairdresser. I bought a bottle of Crazy Color (click for their website) for £4.49, the great thing about Crazy Color is the length of time the solution keeps once you've opened the bottle; it can last for up to 12 months. With some colourants the colour displayed on the bottle can be exaggerated for display purposes, however once I tested the colour I chose, it certainly did not disappoint.

I went for Pinkissimo which is a real magenta pink, the first time I put colour in my hair autonomously it was initially suppost to turn out red, it didn't develop fully so when I washed my hair it turned pink. What I thought turned out to be a disaster was a breakthrough, it actually suited me.

The problem now is deciding what colour to go for next, will i be tempted by, bubblegum blue, coral red, or hot purple?

As for Crazy Color it is a fantastic range to use if you are a first time dip dyer, it is semi permenant and will wash out soon enough; it is easy to use, no need for mixing powders and liquids it is all ready for you in the one little bottle. Just be sure to wear gloves and clothes you don't mind getting coloured, the pigmentation is very strong and will stain.
